New Delhi: The fire tragedy in Delhi's Mundka area has claimed the lives of at least 27 people. Around 5-60 people were also rescued from the building. Meanwhile, a man jumped from the fire-stricken building to save his life. The victim claimed he made several calls to authorities but did not get any help and he decided to jump from the building to save his life. He was later shifted to the hospital by an ambulance. Meanwhile, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that 27 bodies have been recovered and 8 injured have been admitted to the hospital.Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also expressed deep sadness about the incident. He tweeted, "The incident of fire in Delhi's Mundka is very sad. I am in constant touch with the concerned officials. NDRF is also reaching there soon. Our priority is to evacuate people and provide immediate treatment to the injured."Earlier, Deputy Chief Fire Officer of Delhi Fire Service, Sunil Choudhary, confirmed that 26 bodies were recovered from the building, reported news agency ANI.After the fire caught building around 5 pm, 24 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, fire department officials said.
