Srinagar: The terrorists who were involved in the killing of Kashmiri Pandit government employee Rahul Bhat at Budgam on Thursday have been neutralised by the security forces within a day of the ghastly incident. A total of three terrorists were involved in Bhat’s killing and all three have been gunned down. While two terrorists were neutralised in a joint operation by the security forces and the Jammu and Kashmir Police at Brar (Aragam) area of Bandipora, one ultra was killed earlier, Times Now's Nikunj Garg reported. The two terrorists killed at Brar were Pakistanis who had recently infiltrated into India. The terrorists hailed from the Lashkar-e-Toiba group and had recently escaped during an earlier operation on May 11. The operation at Brar was still underway when the reports last came in. “One more terrorist was neutralized during the encounter which broke out at the Brar (Aragam) area of Bandipora. Earlier, the Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, said that the two terrorists were tracked down after they had escaped during an earlier operation on May 11. “Two recent infiltrated Pakistani terrorists of LeT terror outfit who escaped from recent anti-terrorist operation on 11th May at Salinder forest area were tracked down. They have been trapped today at Brar Bandipora,” the IGP said. It may be noted here that Bhat was employed as a clerk under the special employment package for migrants. He was working at the Tehsil office in Chadoora town in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists gunned him down inside the Tehsil office yesterday.
